A tradition Since 1987
Firstly, I want to thank you for choosing us for your dining experience. Know that you are supporting a local and family-owned business.
Osteria del Teatro was established in 1987. It was first opened in "South Beach", Miami next to the Cameo Theater. The name itself means “tavern by the theater”. After being in South Beach for 37 years we’ve decided to move to North Bay Village, about 15 minutes north, making it easier for our local customers to visit.
Dino Pirola is the original owner. His vision was to bring his hometown fare from Bergamo and his northern Italian roots to Miami. Also, over the years many seafood dishes had been introduced to our menu with huge success. In 2001 I, Gilbert Gonzalez, started at the restaurant. I’ve been in the restaurant business since I was 16 years old and cooking since I was eight years old. Dino saw my passion for food and wine. One day he asked me if i would like to be his partner. Of course, I said yes! And here we are now.
The reason for Osteria's success and longevity is that we only use the finest available ingredients and products. We refuse to cut corners and buy inferior products because we realize that our customers are educated in quality. At Osteria we have always made all our pastas, breads and desserts from scratch.
Whether you've been a long time customer of ours or it's your first time, we are truly grateful for your business and hope to continue to serve you in the future.
